We found Hessu from Finnish sales magazine. In the advertisement was said “energetic Shetland pony, not for small children” and that was it – good trotting pony! We drove 500 km with wagon too see him and when he galloped on the pasture straight on us, leading the herd, we didn’t need to know more – he was ours. His pedigree is not trotting based; Hessu is the fastest pony after Jigge. But all weaknesses he has, he replaces them with his BIG heart and great will to win! Start with him was nothing but easy. He put us 6-0. Fortunately he is so small that we managed somehow. Hessu has taught us so much about relationship between human and horse and horse language that we owe him much. “Horse whisperer” John Moore said about Hessu when they met that he is so leader than any pony can be! And that could be seen on the racetrack as a willing to win! Hessu is our life small, magnificent horse!
